Homework
We assist learners with homework, we teach learners to read instructions and explain according to their understanding. This is the way to make sure that they do the understand at school, when they do the activity with their teachers. Even if they don't have homework they come to the Centre and continue with the DBE's as we all know it is a worksheet. Some of the learners don't bring DBE's in the Centre they work with those who have homework's in the same Grade that makes a lot of difference, because that boost confidence when their schools introduce the topics they are the one's who participate in the classroom.
Drama
We dramatize life skills lessons, things that are general as we advice them to watch news and this has an impact in future. e.g. Elections, everybody was talking about elections and saw flyers of different parties and that was the topic at the Centre. This part gives our learners a chance to prove they understand the lesson and it also improves their creative writing (essay)
Outside Doors
We have lot of games, jumping sack, umgusha, skipping, soccer ball and holler hoops. All these games bring a smile and fun to the Learners, meanwhile they learn to work together as a team, socialize, love and take a good care of each other. We give them a chance to play with out the instructions under the supervision to check their behavior and attitudes towards other learners.
